Having qualified in Newcastle in 1988, I did all my hospital and GP training in Airedale, West Yorkshire. I then returned to the North East to be a GP partner in 1993.
I am very much a generalist and believe in the holistic approach of treating the person as a whole and not just the disease. I enjoy giving personalised care to individuals and their families over a long period of time.
Dr Goh joined the partnership at The Garth Surgery in March 2011.

After completing my medical degree and initial training in the North West, I did my GP Training in the Scarborough area before moving back to the local area. Special interests - teaching and training, women's health and paediatrics.
I qualified as Nurse in 2004 after completing my training in Leeds. My first role was working in acute medicine and surgical admissions. I then developed an interest in Respiratory care so undertook extra qualifications to assess treat in field. I then began working as a Respiratory Specialist Nurse gaining prescribing qualifications. My areas of specialist interest are in Asthma, COPD and Oxygen therapy. I then obtained qualifications as a Nurse practitioner and worked as Community Matron specialising in Long term health conditions and palliative care. I came to the Garth surgery in 2019.
Qualified in adult nursing in 2006 at Teesside University. After qualifying my first job was at James Cook University Hospital as a staff nurse in the Accident & Emergency department. I then gained some experience in midwifery before joining the Garth in 2009 as a practice nurse.
Carol joined the practice in 1987 as a receptionist and became Practice Manager in 2006.
Carol is responsible for the smooth running and organisation of the practice, and is committed to providing a high quality service and any observations, comments or suggestions about the practice would be welcome
Sharon began working at the practice in July 1998 as a receptionist after completing an AMSPAR diploma at college. In Septermber 2006 she took up the post of Senior Admin Assistant/Recall Co-ordinator.
Michele lives in Guisborough and joined the practice in 1993 as a receptionist. Some years later she became the practice secretary and is happy to help with any referral queries you may have.
