You and Your General Practice (YYGP) describes what practices and patients can expect of each other and has been developed to help patients get the best from their GP team. YYGP also sets out how patients and or their representatives can provide feedback or raise concerns about their GP practice. All GP practices will have a link to the YYGP information on their website from the 1st October 2025, on the practice website home page. If you want to give feedback or raise a concern you can ask to speak to your practice manager. The Garth Surgery will provide services as per You and Your General Practice except when unable to do so:
- Lack of safe capacity
- Agreed closure due to staff training
- Unforseen events
- Failure of NHS supplied software
- Unable to assure a safe service
During these times patients may be referred to Pharmacy First, NHS 111, A&E or 999 depending on the complexity of the condition.
